True North Sports + Entertainment is looking for a creative, collaborative, and passionate Video Producer Fan Development to join our Community Relations team.
The Video Producer Fan Development is a 2-year term that will play an important role in bringing the Winnipeg Jets First Flight program to life through engaging, educational, and story-driven video content. From explaining the basics of hockey to showcasing the excitement of game day, this role will create compelling digital content that helps new and casual fans build confidence, feel connected to the game, and become part of the Winnipeg Jets community.
What to be excited for in this role:

Produce, shoot, edit, and deliver high-quality video content that supports the Winnipeg Jets First Flight program and creates engaging experiences for new and casual hockey fans.

Create a variety of short- and long-form videos for digital platforms, helping audiences learn about hockey, game-day traditions, and the Winnipeg Jets through creative and accessible storytelling.

Ensure all video content meets Winnipeg Jets brand standards and maintains a consistent visual identity.

Collaborate with the Specialist, Fan Development and internal departments to plan content that supports program objectives and enhances the participant experience.

Capture footage in studio, on location, and at community events, coordinating camera, audio, lighting, scheduling, and production logistics.

Design and incorporate motion graphics, animations, and visual elements that enhance storytelling and create engaging digital experiences.

Edit video content using industry-standard software, incorporating graphics, music, motion graphics, captions, and visual effects to create polished final products.

Work alongside Marketing and Digital teams to optimize video content for the Winnipeg Jets App, Jets 360, social media, websites, and other digital platforms.

Build relationships with community organizations, cultural contributors, and program participants to capture authentic stories and create inclusive, meaningful content.

Organize and maintain video files, project assets, and production resources to support efficient content management and future use.

Monitor content performance and audience feedback, recommending creative improvements that enhance engagement and support program goals.

Occasionally work evenings and weekends to capture content during community events, activations, and Winnipeg Jets initiatives.
What we need from you:

Diploma or degree in Video Production, Film, Digital Media, Media Arts, Communications, or a related field. An equivalent combination of education and experience will also be considered.

3 to 5 years of professional experience producing and editing video content for digital platforms.

Advanced proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud, including Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, and related applications.

Strong understanding of video production techniques, including camera operation, lighting, audio recording, and post-production workflows.

Experience planning, filming, and editing projects from concept through final delivery.

Creative storytelling skills with the ability to translate ideas into engaging visual content for diverse audiences.

Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines simultaneously.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments and with community partners.

Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative, fast-paced team environment.

Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and community events as required.
Assets:

Experience creating content for sports, entertainment, or community organizations.

Previously operated Sony camera systems and professional production equipment.

Experience producing content for mobile-first and social media platforms.

Background in creating motion graphics and animated content using Adobe After Effects.

Knowledge of hockey, live sports, or fan engagement strategies.

Experience working with culturally diverse communities and creating inclusive, audience-focused content.
