Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Mécanicien(ne) automobiles to join our automotive service team. Duties
- Conduct comprehensive inspections and diagnostics of vehicles to identify mechanical issues
- Perform repairs including engine work, brake replacements, suspension repairs, and electrical system troubleshooting
- Use hand tools, power tools, and schematics to disassemble and reassemble vehicle components accurately
- Execute welding tasks when necessary for structural repairs or modifications
- Assist with vehicle maintenance services such as oil changes, tire rotations, and fluid replacements
- Follow safety protocols during all repair procedures and maintain a clean work environment
- Read and interpret technical manuals and schematics for precise repairs
- Communicate effectively with customers regarding repair needs and timelines
- Assist in assembly or installation of parts as required for vehicle servicing
Qualifications
- Proven mechanic experience with a strong understanding of automotive systems
- Dealership experience is a plus but not mandatory
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and reading schematics
- Knowledge of welding techniques applicable to automotive repairs
- Ability to lift heavy components safely (heavy lifting) and perform physical tasks throughout the day
- Strong mechanical knowledge combined with excellent problem-solving skills
- Experience with automotive repair software or diagnostic tools is advantageous
- Good customer service skills to ensure positive interactions with clients
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a dynamic environment
