Position Overview:
The Accounting Clerk’s main area of responsibility will be daily cash deposits, accounts receivables including invoicing clients and collection follow-up, processing of Accounts Payable invoices, general office filing and other duties as assigned by the Controller or Staff Accountant. The position is considered an entry level position.

Duties & Responsibilities:
- Balances of daily cash drops done by Front Desk, Restaurant and Banquet servers
- Creation of the daily bank deposit
- Verify that daily credit card settlements balance with PMS/POS reporting
- Review and/or perform daily revenue postings ensuring accuracy
- Review group master account invoicing ensuring a timely settlement of group master accounts
- Review invoice details with Sales clients as required; work with Sales team to ensure client is satisfied with invoicing
- Process direct billing applications with trade references for Controller approval
- Process all FIT invoicing, direct billing and sending out
- Ensure AR ledger collection is prompt and problem accounts are elevated to either Staff Accountant or Controller when balance is over 60 days outstanding
- Accounts payables posting of invoices into Great Plains Accounting software
- Other duties as assigned by the Controller or Staff Accountant
Education & Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Strong data entry, analytical and communication skills, both oral and written
- Knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook
- Previous hotel and/or conference centre experience is not required but is an asset
- Accounting and/or administrative experience is not required but is an asset
- Is bondable and legally allowed to work in Canada
