We are seeking a talented Freelance Seamstress to join our team. We specialize in making designer toss cushions and require a seamstress who can execute our vision. This flexible role involves sewing and customizing toss cushion pillows and textiles to meet design specifications. Ideal candidates will have a passion for craftsmanship, attention to detail, and experience in sewing interior furnishings. As a freelance professional, you will have the opportunity to work on diverse projects from the comfort of your own workspace.
Responsibilities
- Create, alter, and repair pillows according to designer's requests and specifications
- Measure and cut fabric accurately for various projects
- Operate sewing machine, serger, and other related equipment efficiently and safely
- Collaborate with designer to ensure designs meet expectations
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a seamstress or in garment manufacturing or warehouse settings
- Strong sewing skills with proficiency in using industrial sewing machines and sergers
- Knowledge of fabric types, patterns, and sewing techniques
- Excellent attention to detail and precision in work
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong time management skills
- Prior experience in home design sewing is a plus (drapery, toss cushions, furniture...etc)
- Owning your own sewing machine and serger is a big plus
