SGS Qualitest is seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Quality Control / Special Projects specialist to join our team. In this role, you be responsible for developing client Quality Manager Systems. Also establishing, maintaining, and continually improving the company’s Quality Management System (QMS). This position is accountable for the quality performance and for maintaining our CSA, ASME, and ISO accreditations. Supporting our other labs across Canada. This role also supports our hydrotesting services line conducting hydrotesting and burst testing. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to specialized projects.
Duties
- Develop client Quality Management Systems. Ensure these manuals and programs meet the applicable standards, regulatory requirements, and customer specifications.
- Provide technical support and guidance to clients regarding the QMS.
- Develop, implement, maintain, and improve the company’s QMS.
- Support and assist with preparations for client for audits and respond to quality-related inquiries.
- Assist in developing and updating quality assurance documentation, including inspection reports and process records.
- Implement and monitor quality management procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards and company policies.
- Maintain CSA, ASME, and ISO accreditations including preparation and coordination for external audits.
- Coordinate and conduct pressure testing (Burst or Hydrostatic) in accordance with approved procedures, codes, and client requirements.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent minimum
- CWB Level 2, or 3 is preferred
- Proven experience in quality management systems for ISO, TSBC, and ABSA
- Strong knowledge of quality control techniques, inspection methods, and industry standards such as QA/QC protocols.
- Demonstrated analysis skills with the ability to interpret data accurately and make informed decisions.
- Familiarity with measurement tools like calipers and data collection software is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication skills for documenting findings, preparing reports, and collaborating with team members.
- Prior involvement in special projects or process improvement initiatives is a plus.
- Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities while maintaining attention to detail.

Pay: $65,000.00-$90,000.00 per year
