Full job description

Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and attentive Server to join our dynamic restaurant team. The ideal candidate will deliver exceptional guest service, ensure food safety and sanitation standards, and create a welcoming atmosphere for all patrons. This role requires a positive attitude, strong communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple tables efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Prior experience in food service or hospitality is preferred but not mandatory, as training will be provided. The Server will play a vital role in enhancing the overall dining experience and supporting the smooth operation of the restaurant.

Duties

Greet guests warmly and present menus with enthusiasm
Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Micros POS
Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation and quality
Upsell menu items to increase guest satisfaction and sales opportunities
Handle cash transactions accurately, including cashiering and cash handling responsibilities
Ensure food safety and sanitation standards are maintained throughout service
Assist with food preparation or kitchen tasks as needed to support team efficiency
Manage time effectively to serve multiple tables while providing attentive guest service
Address guest inquiries, resolve issues promptly, and ensure a positive dining experience
Maintain cleanliness of tables, dining areas, and service stations in accordance with sanitation guidelines

Skills

Proven experience in food service, restaurant, or hospitality environments preferred
Familiarity with POS systems, especially Micros POS, for order entry and cashiering
Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests professionally and courteously
Excellent time management skills to handle busy service periods efficiently
Knowledge of food handling, safety protocols, and sanitation standards in the food industry
Basic math skills for processing payments accurately and managing tabs
Ability to perform food safety practices during serving and food preparation tasks
Effective communication skills for coordinating with kitchen staff and team members
Upselling techniques to enhance guest experience and increase sales potential
Kitchen experience or food industry background is a plus but not required
