Full job description

MatchBox Consulting Group is seeking an Electrical Foreman/Field Supervisor to join our client, a well-established and growing electrical contractor based in the Lower Mainland, delivering projects across commercial, industrial, and residential sectors. With a strong reputation for quality, safety, and long-term client relationships, this team continues to expand its footprint across electrical installations, fire alarm systems, and service work.

This is an opportunity to step into a key leadership role where you’ll take ownership of field operations, lead crews across multiple sites, and play a critical role in delivering high-quality electrical projects from planning through execution. Responsibilities

Act as the primary link between Project Managers and field crews, ensuring clear communication of scope, schedules, and priorities
Lead post-award planning, including reviewing drawings, identifying conflicts, planning layouts, and forecasting labour requirements
Manage day-to-day field operations across multiple job sites to ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, and to a high standard
Coordinate labour, materials, and site logistics to maintain productivity and meet project milestones
Oversee work in occupied and institutional environments, ensuring compliance with site constraints such as noise, dust control, and operational requirements
Provide hands-on leadership, supporting installations and troubleshooting complex systems when needed
Supervise and mentor electricians and apprentices, promoting safety, quality, and continuous development
Perform service work and system troubleshooting between projects as required

Qualifications

Journeyman or Master Electrician certification (required)
5+ years of experience in a supervisory or leadership role within the electrical trade
Strong commercial project experience, including work in occupied or institutional environments
Hands-on expertise with power distribution, lighting systems, low voltage, and backup/emergency power
Solid understanding of drawings, specifications, and electrical codes (fire alarm experience considered an asset)
Proficient with scheduling, documentation, and basic project management tools
