Job Title: Maintenance Technician – Level 1

Established in 1990 and located at the base of Fernie Alpine Resort, we’re surrounded by the breathtaking Canadian Rockies. We specialize in providing authentic and memorable lodging experiences to our guests, while delivering exceptional service and care to local property owners.

Job Summary:
We are seeking dedicated and reliable Maintenance Technicians to join our team for full-time and part-time positions. These roles will support our team with maintenance needs in keeping our properties and facilities in excellent working condition.

The position is ideal for someone with a hands-on attitude, strong attention to detail, and a passion for property care. Some experience in general repairs, trades, or painting is a strong asset.

Key Responsibilities:

Respond to and resolve maintenance work orders promptly and efficiently
Maintain a clean and safe environment by picking up litter or debris as needed
Assist housekeepers and other departments with maintenance-related tasks
Provide friendly and professional customer service to guests and property owners
Carry out light repairs, painting, and basic maintenance tasks around the property

Qualifications & Skills:

High school diploma or equivalent
Minimum 1 year of relevant maintenance, trades, or handyman experience
Able to work independently with strong time management and problem-solving skills
Willingness to work flexible shifts including weekends and holidays
Basic knowledge of carpentry, plumbing, and electrical systems is an asset
Strong communication and interpersonal skills; team player attitude
Organized, detail-oriented, and committed to follow-through
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other common software is a bonus
Knowledge of workplace health and safety practices
Valid BC driver’s license with a clean driving abstract
