Worley Canada Construction is seeking an experienced Procurement Specialist to support procurement activities including bidding, evaluation, purchase order management, and supplier coordination. This role is critical to ensuring timely and cost-effective procurement for our projects.

Work Conditions:

This position may be PROJECT SITE BASED or HOME OFFICE BASED (Edmonton, Alberta) working shift work: 9 Days on 5 days off 10 Hour days

Key Responsibilities:

Procurement Process

Review material requisitions submitted by the project team.
Prepare and issue RFQ/RFP documentation based on project needs.
Source and evaluate potential suppliers for quality, cost, and delivery timelines.
Recommend suppliers based on comprehensive evaluation criteria.
Prepare and issue accurate and timely purchase orders (POs).

Supplier & Order Management

Coordinate with suppliers to expedite material orders.
Communicate any delays or schedule conflicts to the project team.
Ensure POs are up to date to support timely invoice processing.
Close out POs once all contractual and procedural requirements are fulfilled

Collaboration & Reporting

Work closely with project management, construction teams, client representatives, quality control, project controls, accounts payable, and suppliers.
Maintain a clear understanding of procurement workflows and client-specific requirements.
Manage deadlines and proactively communicate scheduling issues.
Distribute procurement reports to clients and internal stakeholders as required.

Qualifications

Required

Minimum 5 years of experience in Procurement or Supply Chain Management
Strong computer skills, especially in Microsoft Excel.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work productively alone and within a team
Proven ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced, high-stress environment.

Preferred

Previous experience in an industrial construction environment
Familiarity with Aveva ERM software.
Diploma, degree, or certification in Supply Chain Management or a related field.
