Reports To: Executive Creative Director
COMPANY OVERVIEW
50,000 athletes. 20 locations. Millions of views.
Brodie League is more than a basketball league, it’s a community. As one of North America’s fastest-growing sports brands, Brodie League is redefining adult recreational basketball by delivering an elevated, professional-quality experience rooted in culture, competition, and community. Our mission is to make every league night the best night of the week for our athletes.
ROLE OVERVIEW
As Senior Producer at BRL Studio, you are the operational backbone of everything the studio makes and everything it ships. You lead photo and video productions from concept through delivery. You own the campaign production calendar. You manage the vendor relationships that put uniforms on athletes and signage in venues across 20+ North American cities. You build the workflow infrastructure that keeps a fast-moving creative team from working in chaos.
You work directly with the Chief Brand Officer and the studio's creative leads. You are the person who makes sure the work gets made - at the level BRODIE demands, on the timeline the business requires, and at the quality standard the brand deserves.
You've produced for brands with real budgets and real standards. You know how to hold a production together when things shift, and they always shift. You're not here to manage the process for its own sake. You're here because without you, the work doesn't get made.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
Shoot Production
Own pre-production from brief to call sheet: translating a creative concept into a fully resourced, fully scheduled production ready to execute on day one.
Source and book all cast and talent - athletes, models, influencers, and featured subjects - negotiating usage rights and managing releases.
Source and book all crew across above and below the line: directors, DPs, camera operators, gaffers, grips, production assistants, and post-production partners.
Own hair, makeup, and styling: sourcing and contracting HMU artists and stylists appropriate to the shoot's creative direction, and ensuring the visual standard is upheld on set.
Scout, book, and permit all shoot locations - studios, courts, venues, streets, and any bespoke location the creative requires.
Manage all production equipment sourcing: camera packages, lighting, grip, audio, and specialty gear.
Build and distribute call sheets, shot lists, and day-of production schedules. Run the shoot day - managing the floor, protecting the schedule, and keeping creative and production moving in the same direction.
Own post-production handoff: asset organization, delivery timelines, and coordination with editors, colorists, and retouchers through to final output.
Campaign & Brand Production
Manage multiple concurrent production workstreams across seasonal campaigns, Pathway Campaigns, and BRL 365 content.
Translate creative briefs into production plans with realistic timelines, phased milestones, and contingency buffers.
Own the campaign production calendar in coordination with the CBO — keeping the studio six weeks ahead of execution at all times.
Print, Signage & In-Venue Production
Own vendor relationships for all in-venue print and signage — sourcing suppliers, negotiating contracts, setting quality standards, and managing fulfillment across 20+ markets.
Manage production timelines for signage across league venues, ensuring assets arrive on spec, on time, and at a standard that reflects the BRODIE brand in market.
Build and maintain a preferred supplier roster with clear standards for turnaround, quality, and cost efficiency.
Uniforms, Apparel & Accessories
Own vendor relationships for uniforms, apparel, and accessories - managing supplier contracts, production timelines, quality approvals, and delivery logistics from spec to athlete hands.
Lead quality control on all incoming product orders: receiving shipments, validating against approved specs, and managing any supplier corrections or disputes.
Partner with the CBO and creative team to ensure all physical brand touchpoints meet BRODIE visual and quality standards before they reach the market.
Budget Management
Build and manage production budgets across all workstreams — from first estimate through final reconciliation.
Track spend against budget in real time, flagging variances early and bringing solutions before they become problems.
Negotiate rates and hold all vendors - production, print, and product - accountable to agreed terms.
Workflow & Studio Infrastructure
Establish and maintain production workflow standards across BRL Studio - briefing templates, shot lists, run-of-show formats, approval flows, and asset delivery protocols.
Own and manage the BRL Studio Digital Asset Management system - maintaining an organized, searchable library of 500+ assets across campaigns, seasons, and content tiers, with clear naming conventions, folder architecture, and access protocols.
Ensure all finished assets are ingested, tagged, and stored correctly in the DAM at the close of every production, and that the library stays current, clean, and usable by the full team.
Own studio project management in Notion - keeping all active productions tracked, statused, and visible to the CBO and creative leads.
Build the production playbook that brings consistency, lead time, and fewer fire drills to every workstream the studio runs.
In 30 / 90 / 180 Days
30 days: You've mapped every active production workstream, audited the existing vendor relationships across print, signage, and product, and introduced yourself to the suppliers and crew that matter.
90 days: You've led your first major shoot, established the production workflow standard, and every uniform and signage order in-flight has your oversight on it.
180 days: Every production BRL Studio runs has your fingerprint on it. The studio is working six weeks ahead instead of six days behind, and the physical brand in every market reflects the standard we hold.
REQUIREMENTS
7 to 12 years of production experience in a creative agency, in-house studio, or brand environment - with meaningful time producing photo and video at a professional level.
A deep production roster built over years: cast, crew, HMU, stylists, locations, equipment houses, editors, colorists, and post partners. You know who to call before you post the brief.
Fluency across above and below the line sourcing - you know the difference, you've worked with both, and you know how to build a crew that fits the production.
Deep command of shoot production: call sheets, run-of-show, on-set leadership, and the ability to keep a director's vision intact while hitting every logistical mark.
Hands-on experience with print, signage, or physical product vendors — you understand spec sheets, production timelines, and how to manage quality through a supply chain you don't control.
Experience producing uniforms or branded apparel at volume is a strong asset.
Proven budget ownership - building them, tracking them, reconciling them, and negotiating with vendors to protect them.
Strong command of project management tools. Notion, Asana, or equivalent — you set the standard, you don't just use the tool.
Cultural literacy in sport, streetwear, and premium brand-making. You know the difference between work that's polished and work that's definitional.
Calm, decisive, and professional under pressure. The team looks to you when things shift.
