Thomas Skinner was founded in 1904 and today is Western Canada’s largest machine shop supply distributor. Our motto is “One Stop for Your Machine Shop.” We fulfill this statement through our marketing of Haas and Okuma CNC machine tools, Amada band saw machines, a host of conventional machines, machine accessories, cutting tools, precision measuring instruments and abrasives to name a few of the products we sell. We have four locations – Richmond, BC (head-office), Edmonton, Calgary and Winnipeg. We support what we sell with in-house service, parts and training. We are ISO certified and employ a team of 80 employees that work hard to satisfy our customers.

We are looking for a Manufacturing Consumable Inside Sales Support with excellent customer service, attention to detail and a positive attitude to work out of our Manitoba branch.

You possess the following attributes/requirements:

Knowledge of machining principles and cutting tools would be a bonus!
Strong problem solving skills
Work in a fast pace environment
Good memory
Team player
Detail oriented
Able to communicate clearly and effectively
Proven ability to provide customer service excellence!

Key Responsibilities include:

Familiar with Epicor Prophet 21 ERP system is required.
Knowledge of Machine Tool, Consumable tool including cutting tools, measuring tools and coolants are required.
Able to manipulate discount structure and margin.
Provide excellent customer service and work closely with our outside sales team to satisfy our customer’s needs.
Respond to our customers’ inquiries and help them get the best tool.
Input orders and provide quotes to customers quickly and ensure fast and courteous service.
Continuous learning about our products, our customers and our industry.
Build strong relationships internally, with our supplier partners and our customers.
