Full job description

Important Information Before Applying:

This is a full-time position that requires a flexible schedule. Successful candidates must be available to work a combination of:

Day shifts: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
Evening shifts: 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM
Weekends
Holidays

Please note: This position is eligible for the Atlantic Immigration Program (AIP). However, it is not eligible for LMIA support.

Guest Services Agent - What's the Job?

The moment a guest steps into our hotel, they walk into a genuinely memorable experience. As a Guest Services Agent, you are often the first and last person our guests interact with, playing a key role in creating an exceptional stay.

You will be responsible for delivering outstanding customer service, handling guest requests, and ensuring smooth front desk operations while creating a welcoming atmosphere that makes every guest feel at home.

Key Responsibilities

Provide a warm, professional, and friendly welcome to all guests.
Recognize IHG One Rewards members and returning guests both in person and over the phone.
Process guest reservations, check-ins, and check-outs efficiently and accurately.
Promote hotel amenities and identify opportunities to upsell guest experiences.
Handle cash, credit card, and room charge transactions.
Assist guests with inquiries, requests, concerns, and billing issues.
Provide local area information and recommendations.
Record guest preferences and communicate important information to relevant departments.
Respond to guest concerns professionally and escalate issues to management when required.
Maintain knowledge of daily hotel activities, events, and operational updates.
Follow all hotel safety, security, and emergency procedures.
Maintain a professional appearance and represent the hotel brand positively at all times.
Support other departments and assist with additional duties as needed.

What We Need From You

Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Strong problem-solving abilities and a positive attitude.
Ability to remain calm and professional in a fast-paced environment.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Comfortable working with computers, reservation systems, and basic office software.
Ability to handle cash and credit card transactions accurately.
Flexibility to work a rotating schedule that includes days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Previous hotel front desk, customer service, or hospitality experience is preferred.
Additional language skills are considered an asset.

Physical Requirements

Ability to stand for extended periods.
Ability to bend, kneel, reach, and perform repetitive movements as required.
Ability to occasionally lift, push, or pull up to 50 lbs (23 kg).
