MAKE AN IMPACT THAT MATTERS
We’re looking for a detail-oriented and solutions-focused Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our Science & Technology team and play a critical role in delivering complex, high-value projects across specialized sectors such as laboratories, research facilities, pharmaceutical manufacturing, and mission critical environments. In this role, you’ll leverage your technical expertise to lead the design of intricate electrical systems, ensuring accuracy, constructability, and compliance with all codes, standards, and client requirements.
You’ll take ownership of the technical design process from concept through construction completion, regularly participating in project planning and management meetings to keep deliverables on track. Your work will involve assessing complex design challenges, developing detailed specifications, and reviewing the work of junior engineers to maintain the highest quality standards. You’ll also be responsible for signing off on complex engineering reports, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams, and providing guidance to ensure all project documentation is technically sound.

WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Recognized technical subject matter expert within the organization.
- Responsible for the technical design for complex projects, often involving multiple drawings, technical complexity, high project value, and multiple trades.
- Assesses design constructability and develops design specification for complex designs.
- Participates in project planning and project management meetings and provides improvement recommendations to ensure project deliverables and timelines are met.
- Regularly peer reviews work of more junior engineers.
- Reviews and signs off on complex engineering reports and standards.
- Completes project work on time and within budget.
- Leads teams in the technical design of complex projects.
- Accountable for all designs through to construction completion.
- Ensures technical accuracy of all project files and documentation.
- Other duties as required.
WHAT YOU’LL BRING
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent).
Minimum of 10+ years of experience in engineering consulting, with a proven track record of delivering complex projects.
- P.Eng with PEO.

Experience with mission critical or highly specialized facilities is an asset.
Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit for design and documentation.

Strong attention to detail with excellent documentation and quality control skills.
Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively within multi-disciplinary teams and across diverse project environments.

TOTAL REWARDS
The expected salary for this role is between $100,000 to $140,000 annually. Base salaries are determined considering several factors such as skills and competencies, experience, education, and internal and external competitiveness. Along with your base salary we offer a wide array of programs that include our Short Term Incentive bonus program, technical and business training, mentoring, wellness initiatives, the opportunity to participate in our coveted Defined Benefit Pension plan, flexible work arrangement, and hybrid work structure.
