Key Responsibilities
- Develop electrical designs and technical drawings based on client requirements and engineering standards
- Provide design support to Engineers and project teams
- Prepare advanced drawings using the latest version of AutoCAD
- Develop layouts and designs in accordance with engineering specifications, applicable codes, and client standards
- Independently complete hands-on electrical design activities with minimal supervision
- Prepare project deliverables including:
- Single line diagrams
- Area classification drawings
- Electrical load lists
- Equipment datasheets
- Equipment layouts
- Grounding layouts
- Lighting layouts
- Cable tray layouts
- Cable schedules
- Panel schedules
- Control schematics
- Electric heat trace design
- Wiring diagrams
- 3D models
- Construction work packages
- Update drawings based on mark-ups and field redlines
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to support project execution
- Ensure designs comply with applicable codes, standards, company procedures, and client requirements
Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum 8 years of experience as an Electrical Designer
- Strong AutoCAD and CADD experience
- ETAP experience is considered a strong asset
- Experience with 3D design/modeling is an asset
- Strong understanding of applicable electrical codes and standards
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and solution-driven
- Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
