THE IMPACT YOU WILL MAKE:
Initially reporting to the Director, Growth & Fundraising Strategy*, the Digital Fundraising Specialist will be responsible for delivering digital strategies and campaigns that maximize revenue from existing supporters, across email, SMS and other direct digital channels. This role will also support donor retention and development initiatives, and therefore work to enhance long-term supporter value, by helping to design and implement digital communications as part of donor journeys and ongoing donor communication programs.
*From 2027, it is expected that this role will report to the Donor Development Manager.*
Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

Develop and implement an annual multi-channel digital fundraising plan, with a primary focus on email and SMS marketing

Work with colleagues to develop and deliver digital communications as part of multi-channel donor journeys

Help set and achieve annual and campaign-specific income, donor and media performance targets for digital fundraising activities to existing donors

Manage day-to-day relationships with key digital vendors in the delivery of email, SMS and other digital strategies and campaigns

Collaborate with internal stakeholders and teams to align digital fundraising strategies with broader communications and engagement plans

Work with the Brand & Communications team to include impact updates to donors as part of donor journeys and communications

Support digital donor acquisition initiatives through collaboration with channel managers and communications teams, for example welcome and receipt emails for new donors

Create digital communications using the organisations existing marketing platforms and new fundraising tools

Continuously test, optimize, and refine digital campaigns to improve donor experience and increase performance.

Monitor and report on key fundraising metrics, retention rates, and financial performance across digital channels.

Adjust budget allocations based on campaign performance to maximize ROI and meet financial targets.

Track digital fundraising expenses, process invoices promptly, and proactively flag potential budget issues.

Coordinate activities to avoid duplication, maximize impact, and ensure brand alignment.
Qualifications include (but are not limited to):

Post-secondary education in a relevant field or equivalent experience
-
Minimum 3-5 years of experience. Experience in International Development, Non-Governmental Organization (NGO/INGO), or other not-for-profit sectors is preferred.

Advanced knowledge of in digital fundraising and marketing, and familiarity with trends in the Canadian market.

Demonstrated proficiency in Marketing Cloud Engagement or other similar digital marketing

Intermediate proficiency in HTML & CSS

Advanced communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills for diverse audiences to build strong working relationships across cultural and organizational settings, both internally and externally. French/Spanish/Arabic language skills is an asset.

Demonstrated project management experience for task execution of assigned objectives supported by proficiency with MS Office tools and relevant technologies. Ability to work under pressure within tight timelines to achieve SCC objectives.

Displays analytical and problem-solving skills to support initiatives with demonstrated adaptability to support change management for successful task implementation.

Applies judgment and make sound decisions that are accountable, justifiable, and in adherence to policies and procedures.

Considers organizational strategy and thinks creatively to support innovative initiatives and collaborations that deliver benefits for the children and families we serve.

Ability to occasionally travel locally, nationally and internationally (less than 10%) as required.
WHAT WE OFFER
The salary range for this position is between $63,323.32 - $80,295.12 CAD depending on skills and experience. In addition to this, our employees will have the following package of additional benefits:
