Overview:
Greenhouse is seeking a hard-working, reliable, highly skilled Dual-Ticketed Industrial Millwright / Electrician (433A + 309A/442A) to join our maintenance team. Holding both tickets isn't just a nice-to-have here — it's what the role is built around. This full-time position is based at our Mississauga facility and offers the flexibility to work 1st, 2nd shift, and occasional weekends as needed. The ideal candidate is a hands-on self-starter with a strong command of industrial machinery, electrical systems, and advanced troubleshooting.
This is a full-time position based out of our Mississauga location within a rapidly growing company. This is a cool job, literally — please note that you will be working in refrigerated conditions for juice production. Your role will be critical in maintaining and improving the performance of our production equipment to ensure operational efficiency and safety.
Key Performance Indicators for the Maintenance team:
- Critical equipment response: respond to critical equipment breakdown <1 hour, bring equipment back up <4 hours, complete repairs <24 hours
- Work order completion: High priority WOs 100%, overall 95% completion rate, low–medium priority WO backlog <2 weeks
- Target downtime <5 hours per week
- 100% Document and Record-Keeping Compliance
Statement of Work & Responsibilities:
- Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair industrial production equipment — including rotary/gable top/can fillers, ROPP cappers, labelers, UHT systems, homogenizers, pumps, depalletizers, and high-speed doors
- Perform precision alignment, bearing replacements, shaft work, gear and chain drive servicing, and mechanical rebuilds
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems — motor controls, VFDs, control panels, sensors, and low-voltage circuits
- Read and interpret mechanical drawings, P&IDs, electrical schematics, and OEM manuals
- Diagnose faults across mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems
- Execute and continuously improve the preventive maintenance program
- Fabricate, modify, and upgrade equipment components as needed
- Maintain accurate spare parts inventory and maintenance records in the CMMS
- Identify opportunities for reliability improvements and bring forward practical solutions
- Uphold food safety (HACCP) and workplace safety standards at all times
- Support commissioning and installation of new equipment during planned shutdowns
- Be available for occasional weekend/evening work and longer shifts when emergency repairs are needed
Skills & Qualifications:
- Valid Industrial Millwright — 433A (Ontario Certificate of Qualification) — required
- Valid Industrial Electrician — 309A or 442A (Ontario Certificate of Qualification) — required
- Minimum 5 years of experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment post-ticket
- Strong electromechanical skills: motor controls, VFDs, PLCs (fault navigation, I/O troubleshooting), wiring circuits, and troubleshooting techniques
- Strong mechanical skills: precision alignment, hydraulics, pneumatics, drives, conveyors
- Experience in a food and/or beverage manufacturing environment is a strong asset
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings
- Experience with CMMS platforms (work order management, PM scheduling) is an asset
- Solid understanding of workplace safety and compliance regulations (OHSA)
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
- Scissor lift and forklift certification are assets
Health & Safety:
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Wear proper PPE and comply with all safety and food safety requirements
- Ability to work in a cold and refrigerated environment
- Standing, kneeling, climbing, and working in confined spaces as required
