THE ROLE
We are actively looking for a student to join our Corporate Finance team in September 2026, for an 8-month internship. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting various Corporate Finance functions. Functions will include Financial Reporting, Finance Operations and Investment Performance & Reporting.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a student to gain valuable work experience in a fast-growing, dynamic environment while being a part of a growing pension plan.
This role is based in downtown Toronto in a hybrid work environment, allowing employees the flexibility to work remotely and in-office (minimum two days per week in-office).

SPECIFIC ACCOUNTABILITIES
Investment Performance & Reporting:
- Assist in daily performance reconciliation and review process.
- Produce and issue weekly, monthly, and ad-hoc performance reports.
- Maintain and update reports and templates as required.
- Participate in monthly review and reporting process including gathering information from manager valuation statements.
- Participate in report automations.
Financial Reporting:
- Prepare financial statement notes and populate the financial statements template using supporting excel workbooks.
- Assist with benchmarking analysis to support annual report preparation.
- Preparing the preliminary year-end report for performance.
- Assisting with accounting research and preparing technical memos.
- Prepare the quarterly Statistics Canada reporting.
- Collaborating with team on PowerPoint presentations and proposing improvements (formatting, charting, graphics etc.).
Finance Operations:
- Assist in month-end related activities such as performing bank and account reconciliations, preparing standard journal entries and preparation of management reports.
- Perform daily monitoring of the Investment Invoice Approval process.
- Assist in procurement and accounts payable related activities such as recording of vendor bills, performing vendor onboarding and validation activities.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
- Pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree, in Business, majoring in Finance, Economics, or Accounting.
- An interest in a CFA, CIPM or CPA designation is a plus
- Proficient in MS office suite. Advanced excel user (formulae, pivots etc.)
- Possesses basic knowledge of finance and investments.
- Possesses basic knowledge of accounting principles and general ledgers.

EXPECTED COMPENSATION
The expected compensation for this role is an annualized base salary in the range of $50,500 to $61,500. This range reflects base salaries for all intern levels and is subject to change and may be modified in the future. Salaries are aligned to academic year and role scope.
