POSITION OBJECTIVE
Adult Clinical Services requires one (1) Full Time Contract Manager, Adult Clinical Services – RBA. This position requires an individual with demonstrated leadership abilities who must promote and support Bethesda’s Mission and Vision. This position must also demonstrate Bethesda’s Values. The Manager, Adult Clinical Services – RBA under the direction of the Director, Adult Clinical Services has overall responsibility including intake and discharge functions and transition and treatment plan development and implementation as well as overall program management. The Manager, Adult Clinical Services – RBA serves as the primary contact for Adult Clinical Services. The Manager, Adult Clinical Services – RBA will employ a leadership methodology that is consistent with “Supporting People in the Spirit of Christ”. The length of this contract is fourteen (14) months.
Key Job Responsibilities:

Provide Clinical Supervision to the Adult Clinical staff who provide behavioural services, including assessment, curriculum and program development, report writing and the delivery of group and individual services and support.
- Develop processes and systems to support the delivery of services and program expansion

Coordinate and facilitate clinical team supervision meetings

Provide direct and indirect clinical supervision for adults
-
Develop training materials, supervise and facilitate staff development activities
-
Provide direct coaching and support for staff
-
Develop and coordinate community partnership initiatives
-
Supervise the writing of reports and liaise with consulting Psychologists
-
Make clinical decisions about adult programming and participate in BSP meetings
-
Consult and liaise with internal and external service providers and referral sources
-
Administrative tasks as required including documentation and resource development

Provide overall leadership and staff management on a day to day basis. Ensure a harmonious work environment is practiced within Adult Clinical Services and resolve all interpersonal concerns reflective of Bethesda policy and procedure and Bethesda Mission, Vision and Values.

Ensure all new hire employees receive specific and ongoing orientation to Bethesda and Adult Clinical Services.

Provide ongoing mentoring, coaching and training to staff to develop, enhance staff knowledge base and skill levels.

Ensure staff receive appropriate training including all Bethesda Mandatory Training.
-
Ensure appropriate staffing in place at all times to enable programs to meet program objectives and organizational objectives.

Process all time off requests in a timely manner.
-
Conduct all required performance management functions including annual performance reviews and participate in regular performance management functions with staff.
-
Ensure appropriate and productive staff meetings occur throughout Adult Clinical Services and participate as required.

Ensure program development is in alignment with Bethesda’s strategic directions and ministry directives.

Design, implement, coordinate and evaluate various plans and programs to ensure programs are effective in meeting the stated goals for all stakeholders.

Establish various program goals in collaboration with the appropriate staff and ensure goals are aligned with program and organizational strategic goals.

Facilitate change management, as required, from development to implementation and evaluation.

Encourage and facilitate innovation in delivery of services and programs.
-
Participate in the preparation of the program’s annual budget with the Director, Adult Clinical Services.

Ensure fiscal responsibility through budget management.
-
Oversee various financial management tasks such as petty cash reconciliations and cost recoveries (all stages).
-
Monitor departmental time sheets to ensure staffing costs remain within allocated resources.

Ensure compliance by all staff with all internal Bethesda policies and procedures, legislation and applicable Collective Agreements. Ensure appropriate corrective actions are taken as required.

Ensure appropriate training and communication of all new or amended policies and procedures to appropriate staff.

Promote public awareness of the program in conjunction with the Director, Adult Clinical Services.

Provide leadership and initiate in the developing and maintaining positive relationships with groups, community organizations and key stakeholders.

Ensure open and available internal communication channels for all staff within Adult Clinical Services.

Ensure programs maintain a positive and productive relationship with internal and external partners.

Ensure Adult Clinical Services is involved and invested with day to day operations of Bethesda.

Comply with Bethesda policies and procedures relating to health and safety.

Responsible for reporting all health and safety concerns immediately following the Internal Responsibility System.

QUALIFICATIONS+
** Contract wage is based on 2080 hours worked in a year. Actual wage will fluctuate based on qualifications and years of experience

Masters of Applied Disabilities Studies, Masters of Social Work or related post-secondary degree
-
Registered Behaviour Analyst with the College of Psychologist of Ontario is required

Minimum of five years’ experience in a leadership position.
-
Excellent time management and negotiation skills.

Superior written and verbal communication skills, coupled with highly developed interpersonal skills.

Knowledge and experience with finance and budgeting.
-
Knowledge and understanding of the Developmental Services Sector, specifically within the Hamilton/Niagara Region and knowledge of community resources.

Supportive of Bethesda policies and procedures.

Computer literacy and demonstrated capacity of computer applications.

Demonstrated supervisory and organizational skills and abilities

Demonstrated problem solving skills and ability to provide sound judgment where complex or unknown factors are involved.

Experience in program planning, development, and evaluation.

Demonstrated ability to achieve outcomes and deadlines and to effectively balance demands and priorities.

Demonstrated leadership, coaching and mentoring within a multi-disciplinary approach.

Experience in a clinical leadership position or equivalent preferred.

Knowledge and experience in plan development supporting individuals with complex special needs and their caregivers.

Clean driving record and must possess a valid driver’s license and have access to a vehicle.

Fluent in French is an asset.
