Assistant(e) Contrôleur

C.A.T. est une société de transport en activité depuis plus de 45 ans. L'entreprise a connu une croissance importante au cours des dernières années, tant sur le plan organique que par le biais d'acquisitions. Aujourd'hui, CAT est un conglomérat qui possède des entreprises au Canada, aux États-Unis et au Mexique. Nous sommes à la recherche d'un(e) candidat(e) dynamique pour se joindre à l'équipe de la comptabilité et des finances pour le poste suivant à Coteau-du-lac.

En tant qu'Assistant(e) Contrôleur, vous travaillerez sous la supervision de notre contrôleur afin d'assurer le bon déroulement des opérations comptables quotidiennes.

Responsabilités

En collaboration avec le contrôleur, assister les activités quotidiennes (comptes fournisseurs, facturation, comptes clients, rapports financiers) ;
Préparer l'analyse mensuelle/la réconciliation (interprétation des données, validation, précision)
Gérer les rapports périodiques et les obligations légales ;
Aider à la préparation des budgets ;
Soutenir les audits internes et externes ;
Maintenir, établir, fournir des recommandations sur les contrôles, les meilleures pratiques, les améliorations ;
Fournir du leadership, de la formation et du développement aux équipes financières et comptables ;
Participer à des projets ad-hoc selon les besoins.

Compétences et qualifications

5 à 8 ans d'expérience dans un poste similaire ;
Baccalauréat en comptabilité avec certification CPA ;
Esprit critique, sens du détail et capacité à résoudre les problèmes ;
Excellentes compétences en communication pour assurer une communication interdépartementale favorable avec les collègues sur site et hors site ;
Bilingue (français, anglais) ;
Excellentes compétences en leadership ;
Capacité à gérer différents délais serrés dans un environnement rapide, sens de l'organisation, capacité d'adaptation ;
La connaissance de l'industrie du transport est un atout.

*Le requis entourant le bilinguisme est nécessaire car la clientèle commerciale desservie est à plus de 95% anglophones.

Assistant Controller

C.A.T., is a transportation company in business for more than 45 years. The company has experienced significant growth in the past few years both organically and via acquisitions. Today CAT is a conglomerate with companies in Canada, US and Mexico and is looking for a dynamic candidate to join its Accounting and Finance Team for the following opportunity in Coteau-du-lac.

As our Assistant Controller, you'll work under the supervision of our Controller to ensure the smooth running of the day to day accounting operations.

Responsibilities

In collaboration with the Controller, assist daily activities (accounts payable, billing, accounts receivable financial reporting colleagues);
Prepare monthly analysis/reconciliation (Interpretation of data, validation, accuracy)
Manage periodic reporting and required legal fillings;
Assist in the preparation of the budgets;
Support internal and external audits;
Maintain, establish, provide recommendations on controls, best practices, improvements;
Provide leadership, training, and development to finance and accounting teams;
Participate in ad-hoc projects as required.
All other related tasks

Skill and qualifications

5 to 8 years of experience in a similar position;
Bachelors degree in accounting with CPA certification;
Critical thinking, detail oriented and problem-solving ability;
Excellent communication skills to ensure favorable inter departmental communication with on site & off site colleagues;
Bilingual (French, English);
Excellent leadership skills;
Ability to manage different tight deadlines in a fast paste environment, organisation skill, adaptability;
Knowledge of the transportation industry is an asset.

*Bilingualism is required as over 95% of the commercial clientele served is English-speaking.
