Quality Control/Quality Assurance Crew Member

JOB TYPE | Permanent, Full-Time, Year-Round

Position Summary

Join the team at Eagle Builders, the leading precast concrete manufacturer in Blackfalds, Alberta as a QC/QA Professional. The successful candidate will be responsible for inspecting and verifying components in the assembly of precast elements, including framework, reinforcing steel, insulation, concrete, and related components.

Job Description

Responsible for performing routine tests as required on raw materials in process components and the final product.
Daily monitoring and documentation of concrete performance measurements.
Participate in the validation of tests, inspections, processing methods, and material qualification.
Responsible for checking the accuracy of formwork, reinforced steel, and concrete placement.
Monitor concrete temperature, slump, chemical additives, air content, and strength on a daily basis.
Testing all aspects of the product before and after casting to ensure the product meets the quality that Eagle is known for.
Adhere to all company policies and procedures.

Requirements

Applicants selected for interview will be required to complete pre-employment prior to hire
Valid Class 5 license and reliable transportation
Minimum 40 hours per week, must be flexible and willing to work overtime
Available to work Monday – Friday, occasional Saturday
Physically fit with the ability to perform physically demanding work for extended periods
Adequate knowledge of computers and ability to learn new software
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and measurements
Ability to work in a team environment with minimal supervision
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail
Proficient in both verbal and written English communication

Assets

Previous quality control / assurance experience
Previous experience in precast concrete
PCI, CCIL certifications
Familiar with methods of curing, vibrations, and pre-stress procedures
