Mat, HIIT & Strength Instructor Part-Time | Independent Contractor Location: Toronto, ON

About the Role

SheBoss Studio is seeking energetic, skilled, and professional Mat, HIIT, and Strength instructors to join our growing team. We are looking for instructors who are technically strong, motivating on the floor, and committed to delivering safe and effective group fitness experiences for clients of all levels.

This role is ideal for instructors who thrive in a premium studio environment, value professional standards, and want to be part of a growing movement community.

Responsibilities

Teach safe, well-structured group mat Pilates, HIIT, and strength classes
Program classes for mixed-level clients with appropriate progressions and regressions
Demonstrate correct technique and alignment to ensure client safety
Provide clear verbal cueing, technical corrections, and appropriate modifications
Create an energizing, motivating, and inclusive class environment
Maintain a professional, respectful, and supportive atmosphere at all times
Deliver consistent, high-quality instruction every session
Arrive prepared and on time for all scheduled classes
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe studio space before and after each class
Stay current with fitness methodology and trends through continued education

Skills & Qualifications

Certified group fitness, mat Pilates, HIIT, or strength instructor
Strong understanding of anatomy, alignment, and movement mechanics
Experience teaching group fitness classes in a studio or gym setting
Confident, clear cueing and strong class management skills
High energy, motivating presence with the ability to adapt to mixed levels
Professional communication and client interaction skills
Punctual, reliable, and organized
Mat Pilates or Pilates methodology knowledge is a strong asset

Requirements

Recognized fitness or group exercise certification (CanFitPro, ACE, NASM, AFLCA, or equivalent)
Mat Pilates certification is an asset but not required
Minimum 1 year teaching experience preferred
Valid CPR and First Aid certification (current prior to start date)
Proficiency in English (additional languages are an asset)
Must carry personal liability insurance or be willing to obtain prior to start date

Compensation

Mat Pilates classes: $25 to $35 per class based on experience and attendance
HIIT and Strength classes: $25 to $35 per class based on experience and attendance
Bonus opportunities available based on attendance and studio incentives
Additional teaching opportunities as the schedule and studio grow
