Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Pharmacy Assistant to join our healthcare team. This role involves supporting pharmacists in dispensing medications, managing patient interactions, and ensuring smooth pharmacy operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in medical terminology and patient care, with prior experience in hospital or pharmacy settings preferred. This position offers an excellent opportunity to develop your skills within a dynamic healthcare environment committed to providing exceptional patient service.

Duties

Assist pharmacists with medication preparation and dispensing
Manage inventory, stock supplies, and ensure proper storage of pharmaceuticals
Provide excellent patient care by answering questions and offering guidance under supervision
Process prescriptions accurately using medical terminology and pharmacy software systems
Support medication administration processes as needed
Maintain accurate records of medication transactions and patient information
Ensure compliance with safety protocols and healthcare regulations
Collaborate with healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care activities

Skills

Previous hospital or pharmacy technician experience is highly desirable
Strong understanding of medical terminology and medication administration procedures
Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
Ability to communicate effectively with patients and healthcare team members
Compassionate approach to patient care and customer service skills
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy
Knowledge of pharmacy software systems is a plus
