Join our team as our newest: Setup Operator. Afternoon or Nights.
Position Summary:
Setup and Change over various cells including broaches and assembly cells. Able to complete minor repairs, adjustments and coordinating activities. Follow processes that quality products are produced in a safe work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Machine setup and changeovers for all cells.
- Complete tasks following setup work instructions and tooling drawings to ensure precise installation.
- Clean, inspect, adjust, and verify mechanical assemblies for proper operation during setup.
- Use hoisting and lifting devices to lift, rig, align, fit and secure heavy tooling.
- Able to do robotic adjustments, replace sensors and adjust operating speeds.
- Operator robots in jog/manual mode for setup and troubleshooting or repair.
- Tooling assembly, alignment and replacement such as broaches, rollers, inserts, etc.
- Inspect and adjust tooling clearances and tolerances, replacing worn or defective components when required.
- Diagnose and correct MIG welding irregularities such as arc failures, porosity, or burn-through.
- · Inspect, troubleshoot, and maintain pneumatic systems including valves, air lines, oil levels and cylinders.
- Operate, inspect, and adjust hydraulic systems controlling tooling and machine movement.
- General maintenance of all mechanical components, perform scheduled lubrication, cleaning and buffing.
- Support troubleshooting and assist licensed trades in maintenance activities as required.
Qualifications:
- Secondary school or equivalent Plant-related experience.
- Minimum 1 year of hands-on work experience.
- Able to interpret engineering drawings, operate and maintain a variety of proto equipment.
- Experience working with machinery, such as grinders, saw machines and drilling.
- Good organizational and computer skills with the ability to work with others
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and oral communication skills. Organized, self-starting, responsible, attentive to detail.
- Able to work independently and in a team environment.
