The Program –
Stride
Enviros is excited to be developing this newest model of care in the Child Intervention System. STRIDE is a Therapeutic Foster Caregiving model that is family based, culturally safe, short term, out of home placement program intended to support youth with complex needs. This model is a wraparound service that incorporates a highly skilled and trained the Contracted Agency Foster Parent, as the primary change agent, working within a Therapeutic Team, including cultural supports to provide individualized trauma informed supports.
Our Therapeutic Foster Parents provide youth with a safe, caring family home that can support their healthy development and meaningful connections until they are transitioned to their forever home. These Caregivers will provide the daily experiences that help youth grow into healthy adulthood. Our Therapeutic Foster Parents can have an incredible impact on the lives of complex children and youth who are in the Children Services system. We provide industry leading training to our Therapeutic Foster Parents to ensure they are able to provide the support and guidance needed to see these youth successfully transition out of care.
With the care of a loving, trauma informed home these children and youth can remain in a family home rather than entering into group care, homelessness or worse. Our Therapeutic Foster Parents can change the trajectory of a child’s life and future with the support of our highly skilled team approach.
The successful candidates will be part of this therapeutic team, which includes a family coach, therapist, youth specialist and cultural supports, that operates the program from an experiential, strength-based perspective.
