DAANAA
Hardward Electronics Engineer Intern
About Us:
Daanaa is a Vancouver-based fabless power electronics and semiconductor company on a mission to revolutionize power electronics in applications operating at and below 1,500 Volts (1.5 kV). The Company is in early commercialization stages of deep tech power conversion and control technologies, offering innovative solutions to OEMs in multiple industries, including solar energy, electric vehicles, and data centers.
Daanaa's value is derived from its transformative Power Transaction Unit (PTU) that consolidates power electronic functions—from bi-directional conversion and amplification to management, transfer, diagnostics, and control—onto a single, high-power-density, high-efficiency, low-profile, scalable, reliable, and safe module. At Daanaa, we are building a world of Energy Untethered™
We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Hardware Electronics Intern to support our electrical engineering team while gaining exposure to the tools, systems, and development processes used to build advanced power electronics technology. This role combines foundational hardware engineering responsibilities with hands-on experience in circuit design, testing, validation, and technical documentation within a fast-paced technology environment.
This internship is designed for an early-stage university student interested in electrical engineering, electronics, embedded systems, or power systems. The successful candidate will develop practical experience working with circuit design tools, laboratory equipment, and engineering workflows that support the development of high-performance electronic systems.
This is an 8 month internship starting in September 2026 and ending in April 2027.
What you’ll be doing:

- Support simulation and testing activities related to analog, mixed-signal, and power electronic systems.
- Learn how hardware systems are designed for efficiency, reliability, manufacturability, and performance.
- Help maintain organized engineering documentation including schematics, BOMs, and design records.
Testing & Validation Support
- Assist with executing hardware test plans and validation procedures for electronic systems and prototypes.
- Support debugging, troubleshooting, and performance verification activities in the lab.
- Help collect, organize, and analyze test data to identify issues or inconsistencies.
- Gain exposure to oscilloscopes, power analyzers, and other electronic test equipment while following safe laboratory practices.
Technical Documentation & Engineering Operations
- Support the preparation of validation reports, test summaries, and engineering documentation.
- Help maintain accurate records related to prototype testing, design updates, and engineering changes.
- Learn how cross-functional engineering teams collaborate throughout the product development lifecycle.
- Assist with improving organization, tracking, and documentation processes within the engineering team.
You should apply if…
