Job Overview

4 Season Solutions Ltd is looking for an experienced Landscape Construction Foreman to lead residential and commercial landscape construction projects across the GTA and Durham Region.

We specialize in high-quality hardscape construction and are looking for a hands-on leader who takes pride in proper base preparation, clean installs, and delivering a professional finished product.

The ideal candidate has strong experience in hardscaping, grading, and base work, along with the ability to run a job site efficiently from start to finish.

Responsibilities

Lead and supervise landscape construction crews on-site
Oversee and perform hardscape installations, including:
Interlocking pavers (patios, walkways, driveways)
Retaining walls
Steps and front entrances
Natural stone installations
Execute and manage proper base preparation:
Excavation
Sub-base installation and compaction
Grading and drainage
Read and interpret landscape construction drawings and site plans
Coordinate daily tasks and keep projects on schedule
Ensure high-quality workmanship and job site cleanliness
Operate equipment when required (skid steer, mini excavator, etc.)
Communicate with management and clients as needed
Train and mentor crew members

Leadership Role

The foreman will be responsible for:

Managing a 2–4 person crew
Running daily job site operations
Ensuring projects are completed efficiently and to company standards
Maintaining a safe and organized work environment

Typical Projects

Interlock patios and walkways
Driveways and front entrances
Retaining walls and structural repairs
Backyard landscape construction
Concrete and hardscape features

Requirements

Minimum 3+ years experience in landscape construction / hardscaping
Previous foreman or crew leader experience preferred
Strong knowledge of:
Base preparation and compaction
Grading and drainage
Interlock and retaining wall installation
Concrete experience is an asset
Ability to read construction plans and layouts
Valid driver’s license
Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions

Assets

Experience operating skid steers or mini excavators
Experience with higher-end residential projects
Strong leadership and communication skills
Attention to detail and pride in workmanship
