Job Title: Senior Accountant – Controller Track

Location: Edmonton, Alberta

Job Type: Full-Time

Company Overview:

PX Solutions is seeking a driven and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our finance function, with a defined path to Controller as the company scales. This is an in-office role based at #100 10448 – 176th St. NW, Edmonton, AB.

PX Solutions Inc. is an innovative health technology and healthcare solutions provider that improve workflows, access to care and quality of service.

The successful candidate will take ownership of core accounting operations from day one, while developing the leadership and reporting skills required to step into a Controller role as PX Solutions grows. This is an ideal opportunity for a CPA with 3–5 years of experience who is ready to take on broader accountability in a high-growth health technology environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee all aspects of the company's accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger.
Oversee payroll operations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with laws and timely payments.
Prepare accurate and timely financial statements and reports for external stakeholders.
Develop and implement financial policies, procedures, and controls to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
Manage the month-end and year-end closing processes.
Collaborate with executive leadership to develop and monitor financial strategies and key performance indicators.
Ensure compliance with tax and audit requirements, coordinating with external auditors and tax advisors.
Analyze financial data to provide insights and recommendations for cost-saving opportunities and operational efficiency.
Some limited travel required as we grow our business across Canada.

Qualifications:

· CPA designation.

· 3–5 years’ experience in operational accounting in a full-cycle environment; experience in Q360 or equivalent ERP is an asset but not required.

· Proficient knowledge of all aspects of project cost accounting as well as financial, management, and operational reporting

· Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality and accuracy

· A team player who is willing to “roll up their sleeves” and lend support wherever needed

· Demonstrated flexibility in fostering a dynamic environment where priorities can change hourly

· Strong organization and time management skills with a proven ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.

· A growth mindset that is excited by high-growth entrepreneurial environments

· Professional and effective communication and presentation skills at all levels (both written and verbal)

· Proficiency with Microsoft Office application
