Key Responsibilities

Your primary responsibilities will include:

Oversee and review personal and corporate income tax returns, Notice to Reader financial statements, and other routine tax filings.
Manage relationships between our clients and our team.
Manage workflow internally as well as with the tax team by providing them with daily guidance, coaching, and development of their tax knowledge.
Work directly with Partners to complete tax research, reorganizations, and ad-hoc consulting engagements as required.
Responsible for identifying and resolving engagement issues.

A successful candidate will have:

6+ years of private company public accounting experience.
Strong corporate and personal taxation knowledge.
Computer skills including Caseware and ProFile.
Strong understanding of a client-focused environment including related deadlines and the ability to work to meet those deadlines.
Sound judgment regarding confidential and sensitive matters.
Excellent interpersonal, communication, organizational skills and attention to detail.
Strong work ethic and the ability to work independently, as part of a team, and to effectively manage a team.
Be adaptable to learning new technologies and processes to help improve efficiency and provide a better user experience for our clients.

Software Skills Required

Learn new technology that can be used in increasing efficiency on files and providing a better overall user experience for our clients.
Xero (preferably Certified)

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: $80,000 – $130,000 per year
