Full Time Concierge Guard - Canada Life

Site Description:

Canada Life is a corporate office environment providing financial and insurance services. The site requires a professional front-desk presence, access control, and routine patrols to ensure a safe and secure workplace for staff and visitors. Strong communication skills and customer service are essential in this corporate setting.

Position: Concierge Security Guard

Site: Canada Life

Site Address: 255 Dufferin Ave, London, ON, N6A 4K1

Status: Full Time

Hours: Monday - Friday (8AM - 4PM)

Pay Rate: $22/hr

Posting Date: June 2nd, 2026

Internal Closing Date: June 9th, 2026

External Closing Date: June 30th, 2026

Overtime Method: Employment Standards Act (ESA)

Assignments include:

Greet tenants, visitors, and clients with a friendly and professional demeanor.
Monitor building access and enforce security protocols.
Respond calmly and effectively as a valued part of the security team to disturbances or emergencies.
Provide accurate directions and information, especially related to building services.
Answer phones, emails, manage the visitor database, and assist with room bookings or appointments.
Receive and distribute mail and packages securely.
Maintain a clean and organized front desk area.
Assist with administrative tasks such as badge sign out, parking inquiries, procedural inquiries, interfacing with Executive Assistants for events.
Liaise with emergency services and contractors when needed.
Uphold a polished appearance and positive attitude at all times.
Maintain proper deportment and posture while seated at post.
Demonstrated punctuality and reliability, tact and diplomacy.
Patrol assigned area on foot, as assigned, to ensure personal, building and equipment security.
Watch for and report irregularities by completing investigations and incident reports, such as security breaches, facility and safety hazards and emergency situations; contact emergency responders, such as police, fire and/or ambulance personnel, as required.
Sustain effective relationships with key stakeholders and provide specialized security services by enforcing rules and regulations when required.
Communicates any concerns/issues with Site Manager.
Personal cell phone use while on duty is strictly prohibited.

Requirements:

Valid Ontario Security Guard License.
Valid First Aid & CPR level C certificate
Proficient in English, both oral and written
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong interpersonal skills and a customer-first mindset.
Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams).
Previous experience in concierge, hospitality, or customer service roles preferred.
Authorized to legally work in Canada
