Full job description

Nadine International Inc. is a multi-disciplinary engineering firm based in Mississauga, Ontario. We are currently seeking a motivated and experienced Electrical Engineer with strong interpersonal and communication skills to support and expand our growing client base.

The successful candidate will be involved in a variety of electrical engineering projects related to existing and new buildings, with responsibilities spanning assessment, investigation, rehabilitation, and project support. This role includes periodic travel throughout Canada.

Please note: This position is based in Mississauga, Ontario, and candidates seeking remote-only work arrangements will not be considered.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct Facility Condition Assessments (FCA) of existing buildings and infrastructure, evaluating electrical building systems and components
Perform investigations and evaluations of power distribution, lighting, emergency power, fire alarm, and related electrical systems in commercial, institutional, industrial, and government facilities
Prepare fire alarm system designs and related engineering documentation in accordance with applicable codes and standards
Develop repair, rehabilitation, retrofit, and replacement recommendations
Prepare technical reports, engineering calculations, specifications, and assessment summaries
Review electrical drawings, specifications, and related project documentation
Coordinate with internal disciplines, clients, contractors, and external stakeholders
Support project management activities, including site reviews and construction support
Travel within Canada (coast to coast) for site visits and project-related activities, as required
Ensure compliance with applicable Canadian codes, standards, and company procedures

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university
P.Eng. designation preferred
Minimum 5 years of relevant electrical engineering experience
Experience in Facility Condition Assessments is required
Experience working within a consulting engineering environment is considered an asset
Experience with fire alarm system design is considered an asset
Knowledge of the National Building Code of Canada, Ontario Building Code, Canadian Electrical Code (CEC), applicable CSA standards, and electrical building system design standards
Strong technical writing, communication, and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
Valid driver’s license with ability to travel throughout Canada
Canadian citizen who has resided in Canada for at least the past 5 years
Eligible to obtain federal-level security clearance
Bilingualism (English/French) is considered a strong asset
PMP designation is considered an asset
Experience conducting energy audits and energy efficiency assessments is considered an asset
Credentials such as Certified Energy Manager (CEM) or equivalent energy-related certifications are considered an asset
Proficiency with AutoCAD and related drafting/design software is considered an asset
