Full job description

Window Estimator – High Rise Division

Location: 81 Royal Group Crescent, Woodbridge, ON

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM

About the Role

Newmar Window Manufacturing is seeking an experienced Window Wall Estimator to join our High-Rise Division. In this role you will act as a quantity surveyor and provide in-depth reviews of the projects that you are assigned. This is an active vacancy within our team. The role requires direct, hands-on experience with window wall and architectural glazing systems. General estimating experience alone will not be considered; candidates must have specific experience estimating window wall systems.

Key Responsibilities

Review project tender documents including but not limited to architectural drawings, project specifications, scope or work, thermal reports and acoustic reports
Perform detailed material quantity take-offs and accurately interpret construction drawings
Prepare requests for quotes from external vendors if and when required
Support estimating activities using Revu (Bluebeam) and Microsoft Excel
Communicate effectively with internal teams
Report directly to the Estimation Manager, High Rise Division

Required Qualifications

Minimum of 2 years of estimating experience within the window wall or architectural glazing industry (required)
Strong understanding of window wall components, installation methods, and industry terminology
Strong proficiency in Revu (Bluebeam) and Microsoft Excel
Excellent mathematical and analytical skills, including precise calculations and take-offs
Highly organized, detail-oriented, focused, and able to work independently
Reasonable understanding of high-rise glazing codes and standards.
Moderate understanding of building systems
Strong reading, written and verbal communication skills
