We are looking for a Revenue Manager (Royalton Hotels & Resorts) to join us in making vacation dreams come true. As the Revenue Manager you will be responsible for maintaining hotel-level forecasting, budgeting, revenue strategies and coordinating with Sales, Distribution and Marketing teams to optimize hotel demand. The objective of this position is to maximize hotel revenue, profitability and Market share.
This position reports to the Senior Regional Revenue Manager and is based in Toronto, ON.
What You’ll Do:
- Oversee hotel revenue management and distribution strategy and manage day-to-day yield operations.
- Daily pick-up analysis, strategy adjustments and reporting.
- Perform competitive benchmark studies and follow market trends.
- Maintain an 18-month daily rolling demand forecast for the property.
- Create and develop pricing strategies to maximize on-demand conditions.
- Manage and oversee strategy for all third-party distribution.
- Responsible for assessing, analyzing and pricing group business strategies.
- Analyze overall monthly hotel performance and provide summary reports with recommendations to improve long-term strategies.
- Ensure all related systems are configured correctly, validated and working to full capacity.
- Oversee and audit the standards and operations of the reservations department.
- Ensure the hotel website booking engine is up-to-date and in parity with other third-party online distribution channels.
- Conduct regular audits and resolve parity issues in coordination with the Contracting and Distribution department.
- Work in liaison with hotel sales and reservations departments as a team to maximize revenue and profitability.
- Regularly check the input and the quality of data points (segmentation, denials tracking, etc.).
- Conduct weekly hotel revenue strategy meetings with the Director of Sales, and Regional Revenue Manager and follow up on actions decided to improve revenue per available room.
- Responsible for best practice standards to include: competitor analysis; environmental scanning; market modelling; distribution yield management; business mix yield management; length of stay yield management; inventory availability by channel; pricing control and new pricing concepts.
- Evaluate the performance of distribution partners and contracted rates (OTA, FIT, tour operator, corporate, consortia, crew, groups, etc.).
- Reduce the cost of distribution by finding new less expensive means of delivering business.
- Prepare an outline for and support the annual revenue budget process.
- Inspire Hotel’s HODs to further embed a revenue management culture.
- Advise and coach the client in other operational areas.
- Visit the hotels to get first-hand knowledge of all revenue management issues and other key areas.
- Effectively use systems and tools to determine, implement and monitor accurate selling strategies in all distribution channels.
- Evaluate and make recommendations on strategies to improve group sales.
- Any other duties assigned by management
What You’ll Need:
- 2 - 4 years of hands-on Hotel Revenue Management experience.
- A strong command of both written and spoken English is required; additional languages (i.e. Spanish) are an asset.
- Bachelor's or master’s degree in hotel management, tourism, or economics. (Or combinations of professional experience and relevant education).
- Highly computer literate with a high-level command of Excel.
- Knowledge of hotel technology: Marriott System MARCHA, OneYield, PMS, RMS (Ideas), CRS (SynXis).
- Ability to travel on short notice and adaptable to schedule changes (up to 50% travel as needed).
- Demonstrate a high level of enthusiasm and energy.

- The ability to work well under pressure and multitask.
