About Us:

Lab Supplies Directory Solutions Ltd. is a specialized platform dedicated to streamlining data, sourcing, and logistics within the scientific and medical laboratory supply sector. We manage extensive databases that connect laboratories with critical equipment and service providers. We are currently seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Directory & Database Administrator to join our team at our Edmonton office.

Job Summary:

As a Directory & Database Administrator, you will be responsible for the maintenance, performance, integrity, and security of our structured directories and core databases. You will ensure that our platforms run efficiently, data is accurately indexed, and our specialized listings remain up-to-date and accessible for our users and partners.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage, monitor, and maintain corporate databases and specialized laboratory supply directories.
Ensure high availability, data integrity, and optimal performance of SQL/NoSQL databases.
Perform regular data entry, validation, and cleaning to eliminate duplicate or obsolete records.
Implement and oversee database security protocols, access controls, and regular backup procedures.
Troubleshoot database errors, optimize queries, and assist in system integration projects.
Collaborate with internal teams to generate data reports and structure new categories within the directory.

Qualifications & Requirements:

Degree or Diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, Database Administration, or a related field.
2+ years of proven experience as a Database Administrator (DBA), Data Analyst, or in a similar data management role.
Strong proficiency in SQL (MySQL, PostgreSQL, or MS SQL Server) and database management tools.
Experience with directory structures, data indexing, and content management systems is a significant asset.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
Must be legally authorized to work in Canada and able to work reliably from our Edmonton office.
