Full job description

Job Summary
Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Bill of Material Creator/Materials Planner to join their team onsite. This role is essential in ensuring the accuracy of manufacturing data, optimizing supply chain processes, and supporting production efficiency. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in ERP systems, demand planning, and lean manufacturing principles to facilitate seamless production workflows and inventory management.

Must Have: Experience creating the production for a manufacturing environment, planning and scheduling

Ideal Candidate: Experience working for family owned or start-up environments. Experience working within a warehouse.

Duties

Understand the production workflow; from raw material to out-the-door
Develop and maintain accurate Bills of Material (BOM) using ERP systems.
Collaborate with engineering, production, and supply chain teams to ensure BOM accuracy and completeness.
Utilize MRP (Material Requirements Planning) tools to forecast material needs based on demand planning data.
Coordinate with procurement to ensure timely availability of materials aligned with production schedules.
Support lean manufacturing initiatives by identifying opportunities for process improvements related to material flow and inventory reduction.
Monitor inventory levels and adjust planning parameters to optimize stock levels while minimizing waste.
Maintain detailed documentation of BOM changes and material specifications for compliance and quality assurance purposes.
Assist in the development of demand forecasts to support production planning activities.

Qualifications

Proven experience working with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or similar platforms.
2-5 years experience
Strong understanding of MRP, demand planning, and supply chain management principles.
Knowledge of lean manufacturing methodologies and best practices.
Prior experience in manufacturing environments with a focus on materials planning or BOM creation.
Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to collaborate effectively across departments to achieve common goals.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field is preferred but not mandatory. This position offers an opportunity to contribute significantly to our manufacturing operations through precise materials planning and innovative process improvements, supporting our commitment to operational excellence.

Pay: $65,000.00-$70,000.00 per year
