The Brantford General is an acute care hospital
The Willett in Paris is an urgent care centre and transitional beds

Position Summary

Reporting to the Manager, Operating Room, PACU and Day Surgery, the successful applicant will be responsible for comprehensive nursing care in the operating room and must meet the following criteria:

Mandatory Qualifications

Graduate of an accredited college nursing program
Registered and in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario
Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification
Completion of post-grad Operating Room course required
Minimum of one (1) year current Operating Room experience required.

Proven critical thinking skills
Ability to multitask and set priorities in a rapidly changing environment
Demonstrated negotiation and conflict resolution skills
Ability to establish positive and proactive work relationships with external partners
Reliable individual with excellent attendance record

Preferred Competencies

Member of RPNAO
Ability to be a coach, teacher and mentor to colleagues and students
Demonstrated competence in patient assessment and care planning
