As the Plant Maintainer 2, you will be responsible for carrying out skilled preventative maintenance. Primary duties include:

Repair, service and maintenance of makeup units (rooftop and overhead, exhaust fan units, overhead heaters, air conditioners, furnaces, unit heaters, other mechanical Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) equipment, pneumatic controls and building automation systems, overhead doors and related equipment, bus wash equipment, bus vacuum systems and steamers).
Operate and maintain the chillers, sump pumps, humidifiers, water softening systems and closed loop systems.
Complete minor repairs on hydraulic hoists and related equipment, air compressor units, plumbing and drainage systems, and emergency generator units.
Operate and maintain boilers, hydronic heating systems and emergency/safety equipment.
Respond to reactive maintenance requests completing all necessary repairs or services to address the concern and ensure equipment operations.
Supervise the work of Plant Maintainer 1's.
Review and complete work orders through Infor Enterprise Asset Management system.
Participate in health and safety meetings; ensure defective equipment is reported promptly.
Arrange for third-party support, schedule annual and regulatory inspections, and oversee contracted services.

Qualifications

A completed 4th Class Power Engineer's Certificate from the Alberta Boilers Safety Association of Alberta Labour.
At least 5 years of experience with air conditioning, ventilation systems and mechanical, building maintenance or trade shop experience.
A Valid Class 5 operator's license (or provincial equivalency) with no more than six demerits and no current suspensions or charges pending is required.
Ability to obtain a City of Calgary operator's permit.
A Journeyperson Certificate in Millwright, Plumbing or Steam/Gasfitter would be considered an asset.
Computer skills in Microsoft Office is an asset.
A demonstrated ability to work independently with blueprints and shop drawings; sound judgement in safety standards, strong communication, problem solving and time management skills.

Working Conditions: This position works inside and outside, under and on top of buildings, structures and equipment. Work will be performed overhead with the use of an aerial device, ladders, or inside confined spaces.
