Senior Telecommunications Analyst - Contract - 19139
About the Opportunity
Our Public Sector client is seeking one Senior Telecommunications Analyst to support a major national communications modernization initiative focused on the implementation and evaluation of advanced enterprise networking technologies within a secure defence environment.
The successful candidate will provide specialized expertise related to Software-Defined Wide Area Networking (SD-WAN) and enterprise network infrastructure supporting a large-scale, resilient communications backbone initiative. This role will contribute to network design validation, implementation guidance, technical knowledge transfer, and project documentation activities.
Duties include but are not limited to:
Provide expertise on SD-WAN applications, implementation, and maintenance
Assist in evaluating the benefits and drawbacks of SD-WAN in the operational environment
Transfer knowledge on SD-WAN to other members of the project team and operations staff
Provide input to those documenting the project
Review the current and proposed WAN design
Evaluate SD-WAN capabilities against operational requirements and document findings
Guide others in the implementation of prototype network environments
Provide technical information to staff documenting the project
Perform other related tasks as required throughout the duration of the project
About You
The successful candidate will have the following:
Certificate, diploma, or degree in telecommunications, information technology or computer science from a recognized Canadian post-secondary institution
Current and valid Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE) Enterprise Infrastructure certification
Minimum 5 years of experience within the last 10 years as a lead engineer and/or technical mentor on complex technical projects
Minimum 5 years of experience within the last 10 years designing and validating enterprise networks using Cisco SD-WAN
Minimum 5 years of experience within the last 10 years designing and validating enterprise networks using Cisco DNA
Demonstrated experience working with:
Cisco SD-WAN
Cisco DNA Centre
Cisco ISE
Cisco routers and switches
Strong knowledge of enterprise WAN architecture and resilient network design
Ability to communicate technical concepts effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Experience supporting documentation and knowledge transfer activities
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and collaboration skills
Valid Secret security clearance
