This is a temporary position, based out of Calgary or Edmonton.
Description:
Leading business analysis activities for large, complex initiatives with a high degree of change and business transformation impact, providing input on technology and business strategy. Owning the business analysis workflow, including: Strategic analysis of potential initiatives. BA engagement planning. Requirements elicitation, analysis, documentation and socialization. Leading process analysis and documentation of current and future state processes. Coordination of testing and requirements delivery validation activities. Assessment of benefits realization. Leading and/or facilitating stakeholder engagement to solve a range of complex problems, recommending best practices and identifying potential gaps and improvements that should be considered. Engaging and managing stakeholder expectations across one or more projects, at all levels of the organization including senior and executive management level. Providing expert support to Project Manager and participating in and/or supporting organizational change management, communication and training activities as required. Managing risks and implementing mitigation strategies.

Required Qualifications:
Post-secondary completion in business, information technology or a health-related discipline. Proven equivalent knowledge will be considered. A minimum of five - seven years of work experience specific to business analysis activities including application of core and advanced business analysis processes, tools and techniques. Competency in all core aspects and techniques of business analysis should be at a senior level. Excellent communication, facilitation and negotiation skills; ability to conduct group presentations effectively and efficiently including at the executive level. Proven expertise in engaging business and IT stakeholders to understand business needs, conduct stakeholder elicitation activities effectively, adeptly manage the requirements analysis, synthesis, documentation and validation process, and facilitate hand-off to architects, developers and vendors. Solid understanding of business process design and visualization. Ability to work with a high degree of autonomy, planning and monitoring own workload. Demonstrated ability to coach and mentor others. Ability to work in an organization with both direct and dotted-line reporting and peer relationships.
Additional Required Qualifications:
Experience working on infrastructure projects such as O/S upgrades, migration to cloud, Microsoft, hardware deployments, identity and/or cybersecurity programs. Experience in MS365 applications: Word, PowerPoint, Visio, SharePoint, Teams). Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel are required.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in Power BI is preferred. Membership in and/or certification through a professional organization related to business analysis or related discipline (such as organizational change management) is an asset.
