Full job description

Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Moldmaker to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for fabricating, repairing, and maintaining molds used in the production process. This role requires strong mechanical knowledge, proficiency with CAD software, and experience with CNC machining. The Moldmaker will play a critical part in ensuring high-quality mold production and efficient manufacturing operations.

Responsibilities

Design, build, and modify molds using AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and other CAD software.
Operate CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, and other machining equipment to produce precise mold components.
Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings to ensure accurate fabrication.
Use hand tools such as calipers, wrenches, and welding equipment to assemble and finish molds.
Perform troubleshooting and repairs on existing molds to maintain optimal performance.
Collaborate with engineering and production teams to meet project specifications and deadlines.
Maintain detailed documentation of mold fabrication processes and modifications.
Ensure safety protocols are followed during all manufacturing activities.

Qualifications

Proven experience with CNC programming, CNC lathe, CNC milling machines, and manual machining tools.
Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, schematics, and manufacturing processes.
Proficiency with CAD software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar programs.
Ability to read technical drawings and schematics accurately.
Mechanical aptitude with experience in welding, assembly, and the use of hand tools.
Knowledge of calipers, measuring devices, and math skills relevant to machining tolerances.
Prior experience in mold making or related manufacturing roles is preferred.
Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about precision manufacturing and mold fabrication to contribute their expertise within a dynamic team environment.

Pay: $35.00-$40.00 per hour
