Major Responsibilities:
- Leads the analysis, documentation, and modernization of legacy system architectures, with a strong focus on understanding and mapping existing data flows, integrations, and dependencies, particularly Informatica ETL processes.
- Develops comprehensive architectural documentation (current-state and future-state), including system context diagrams, data architectures, integration patterns, and technical specifications.
- Provides expert-level analysis of ETL processes (especially Informatica), identifying data lineage, transformation logic, dependencies, and opportunities for optimization, simplification, or modernization.
- Collaborates closely with business stakeholders, developers, and data teams to translate business requirements into scalable, maintainable, and compliant solution designs.
- Ensures solutions align with OPS architecture principles, Information Management standards, security policies, and regulatory requirements.
- Facilitates design reviews and architectural governance processes to ensure consistency, quality, and adherence to standards.
- Communicates complex technical concepts clearly and effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Supports project delivery by guiding development teams, resolving design issues, and ensuring architectural integrity throughout implementation.
- Identifies risks, constraints, and impacts related to legacy systems and ETL processes, and proposes mitigation strategies.
- Maps business processes to supporting systems, data flows, and ETL processes, ensuring traceability and alignment between business and technical layers.
- Collaborates with business stakeholders to understand operational workflows and translate them into architectural representations.
- Promotes reuse of existing components, services, and data assets to improve efficiency and reduce duplication.
Requirements Mandatory Skills:
- Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with ETL tools, particularly Informatica PowerCenter and/or Informatica Cloud (IDMC), including mapping, workflows, transformations, and performance tuning.
- Expertise in data architecture, data integration, and data modeling, including understanding of data lineage, metadata management, and data quality.
- Experience documenting and analyzing legacy systems and complex integration environments.
- Knowledge of Information Management principles, concepts, policies, and practices.
- Experience developing technical and solution architecture artifacts (e.g., high-level designs, detailed designs, data flow diagrams, interface specifications).

Desirable Skills:
- Experience with data warehousing concepts and dimensional modeling.
- Knowledge of modern data integration tools and cloud-based ETL platforms (e.g., Azure Data Factory, Informatica IICS).
- Experience with API design, microservices architecture, and integration patterns.
- Familiarity with database technologies (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server) and advanced SQL.
- Knowledge of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines for data and integration solutions.
- Experience working in public sector or OPS environments, including familiarity with governance processes.
- Exposure to data governance, data quality frameworks, and master data management (MDM).
