We’re Hiring a Sous Chef at Beach Grove Golf & Country Club in Windsor, ON!

Salary starting at $55k, negotiable based on experience
Full time
Direct Hire!

Responsibilities:

Prepare and cook a wide variety of cuisine for daily dining outlets, banquets, weddings, and special events
Ensure the highest standards of food quality, consistency, presentation, and food safety
Supervise and participate in food preparation and plating across all kitchen service areas
Collaborate with the Executive Chef and culinary team to create innovative menu features and recipes
Assist with food ordering, inventory management, and kitchen operations
Support the training, development, and motivation of kitchen staff
Contribute ideas to improve food revenue, kitchen efficiency, and overall guest satisfaction
Work closely with management and other departments to ensure seamless operations
Maintain accurate kitchen documentation and administrative records using Excel and Word

Requirements:

Culinary Education Trade Papers, Red Seal certification, or Red Seal in progress
Food Safe Certification and any certifications required by provincial regulations
Minimum 3 years of experience in a Sous Chef role or higher within an upscale club, hotel, or restaurant environment
Strong knowledge of à la carte dining, banquets, catering, barbequing, fine dining, and line cooking
Experience with ordering and inventory management for both dining and banquet operations
Strong leadership, communication, and team development skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word
A creative passion for culinary arts and staying current with culinary trends
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with a flexible work schedule
