We are looking for an outstanding bartender/server to work in our popular Stages Restaurant & Bar in the popular DoubleTree by Hilton West Edmonton! Will your crafted Cocktails put the “HAPPY” in Happy Hour?

What You’ll Do
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages promptly, accurately, and with consistency.
- Mix cocktails according to standard recipes or customized guest requests.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked bar, including fruit prep and garnish preparation.
- Greet guests warmly, providing attentive and professional service.
- Take and process drink orders directly or through servers, ensuring timely delivery.
- Stay knowledgeable about wine lists, promotions, and beverage offerings.
- Have Knowledge of the Dinner and Fix menu to serve to guests seated at the bar.
- Collaborate effectively with servers to fulfill guest needs, especially during peak periods.
- Monitor bar inventory, assist with ordering, and ensure supplies are maintained.
- Complete customer POS transactions for beverage and food sales accurately.
- Adhere to all health, safety, and alcohol service regulations, practicing responsible service at all times.
- Recognize and manage intoxicated guests, following company and provincial liquor guidelines.
- Communicate with the kitchen and bar staff for quality assurance
- Ensure that the bar is set to proper specifications
- Maintain and clean bar area, wash glassware and additional utensils
- Sanitize ice tanks, coolers, and other bar tools
- Ensure compliance with provincial liquor legislation and regulations
- Practice safe work environment standards and uphold safety guidelines
- Keep immediate supervisor fully informed of all problems or unusual matters of significance
- Perform all side duties and responsibilities in a timely and efficient manner in accordance with established company policies and procedures to achieve the overall objectives of this position and to provide superior service and teamwork
- Maintain a favorable working relationship with all other departments to foster and promote a cooperative and harmonious working environment
- Uphold cleanliness standards by wiping counters, restocking, and ensuring equipment functionality.
- Participate in side duties, department meetings, and training sessions.
- Project a favorable image of SilverBirch Hotels & Resorts to guests and the community.
- Perform additional duties and projects as assigned by leadership.
What You Bring
- Minimum 3 years of bartending or hospitality experience (hotel experience an asset).
- Strong knowledge of cocktails, drink recipes, wine varietals, and service standards.
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Experience with XN POS or other point-of-sale systems.
- Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand for long periods.
- Energetic, self-motivated, and creative, with the ability to thrive under pressure.
- Must be able to provide a clean Criminal Record Check.
- Strong command of English, both written and spoken.
- ProServe (or equivalent responsible beverage service certification).
- Food Safety Certificate and First Aid Certificate are assets
