(Tower Operator, Feed Loader, Ground Man)

WHAT THE ROLE IS ALL ABOUT!
Reporting to the Crusher Foreman, the Crusher Personnel will be responsible for operating and maintaining mobile crushing and screening plants. This role is essential to our aggregate production operations and involves the safe and efficient operation, maintenance, and relocation of mobile crushing equipment on remote job sites. These positions will be working on a rotational basis in a remote location where camp accommodations and flights will be provided. The project sites are located in Northern Manitoba and Northern Ontario and may require day and night shifts.
ESSENTIAL CONTRIBUTIONS WE NEED FROM YOU!
- Operate mobile crushing and screening equipment safely and efficiently.
- Operate front-end loaders to feed material into the crusher.
- Assist with the setup and teardown of crusher equipment at various job sites.
- Conduct pre-trip inspections and routine equipment checks.
- Monitor equipment performance indicators from tower or ground position.
- Perform regular maintenance, screen changes, and minor repairs on crushing equipment.
- Assist with conveyor belt maintenance, including tracking, cleaning, and replacement.
- Help troubleshoot mechanical issues and support mechanics as needed.
- Maintain cleanliness of crusher area and equipment.
- Report equipment malfunctions, near misses, and safety incidents to the Crusher Foreman.
WHAT WILL MAKE YOU BE A POSITIVE IMPACT?
- Experience operating CAT 980 Loader or larger considered an asset
- Experience in large crushing operations in granular and hard rock materials
- Experience working with Sandvik/Elrus plants is considered an asset
- Experience working with tracked aggregate plants is considered an asset
- Ability to meet the physical demands of the position including kneeling and standing for long periods of time and lifting heavy loads
- Willing and able to work in variable weather conditions
- Ability to work day and night shift is mandatory
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong communication skills both verbal and written
- Must hold a valid driver’s license.
- Must be able to successfully pass a drug and alcohol screening as well as a criminal background check.
