Full job description

Veterinary Food Animal Practice Manager Wanted, Abbotsford, B.C.

Our seven-veterinarian food animal practice, specializing in dairy production medicine, advanced reproductive technologies and poultry flock medicine, is seeking a knowledgeable Practice Manager. If you are an enthusiastic leader with a passion for agriculture and veterinary medicine, we encourage you to apply.

The ideal candidate will be a proactive, organized, and effective communicator, ready to take on a pivotal role in our veterinary team's continued success and growth.

Key Responsibilities:

Client Relations: By managing the office, cultivate and maintain strong relationships with our valued clients, addressing their needs and ensuring exceptional service.
Financial & Administrative Support: Work closely with the partners to manage day-to-day operations, including invoicing oversight, payables, banking and reporting.
Human Resources: Lead and manage our dedicated client care team, including training and fostering a positive work environment.
Inventory & Procurement: with partner support, coordinate aspects of drug and medical supply ordering and procurement, ensuring optimal inventory levels and cost-effective purchasing.

Qualifications:

Previous experience in a management or leadership role, preferably within a veterinary practice or the agricultural industry.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, verbal written and IT support.
Proven human resources skills, including team management and conflict resolution.
Understanding of inventory management and procurement processes.
A solid grasp of the unique needs of a food animal practice is highly desirable.
