As a Backend Developer you will design, build, and extend server-side services that power core product functionality. You will handle data processing, business logic, and system integrations that support user journeys.

Develop and maintain scalable backend services and APIs
-
Build and extend microservices within an existing architecture

Design and expose APIs consumed by frontend and other systems

Ensure system reliability, performance, and resilience
-
Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment
-
Design, implement, and maintain cloud infrastructure in AWS using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices
-
Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate build, test, and deployment processes
-
Implement containerization and orchestration solutions to ensure reliable and scalable application deployments
-
Support backend services and contribute to development efforts (Java / Spring Boot) once infrastructure is established
-
Monitor system performance, availability, and reliability, and proactively address issues
-
Implement logging, monitoring, and alerting to ensure operational visibility
-
Improve system scalability, security, and resilience across environments

Collaborate with developers, architects, and product teams to support efficient delivery and deployment workflows

Support release management, environment configuration, and deployment processes

Troubleshoot production issues and help maintain system stability
Required Skills & Experience
-
8+ years of experience with Java and Spring Boot
-
Strong experience building microservices architectures
-
Proven ability to work within established system architectures
-
Experience designing and maintaining RESTful APIs
-
Familiarity with cloud-native patterns (e.g., messaging, containerization, resiliency)
-
Exposure to Domain-Driven Design (DDD) principles
-
Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines and Git workflows
-
Understanding of security concepts (OAuth2, OpenID Connect, JWT)
-
Strong hands-on experience with AWS cloud services
-
Experience implementing Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar)

Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker

Experience with container orchestration tools (e.g., Kubernetes, ECS, or similar)

Experience designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, Bitbucket Pipelines, etc.)

Backend development experience with Java and Spring Boot

Experience with source control systems and modern development workflows

Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools (e.g., CloudWatch, Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana)

The salary range for this position is $84,000 - $175,000, and individuals may be eligible to participate in our bonus program.
