Our client is looking to hire an Interim Controller on a 6-month contract basis.
About the Opportunity-
Build and stabilize the accounting function post-acquisition

Design the chart of accounts and core finance processes from scratch
-
Help evaluate, select, and implement the accounting system
-
Manage monthly accounting activities in a high-volume e-commerce environment
-
Own monthly close and quarterly SEC financial reporting
-
Manage AP/AR across a high-volume Shopify-based e-commerce model (small ticket, high transaction count)
-
Partner on integrating additional acquisitions into the financial infrastructure

Collaborate on broader tech stack design (CRM, sales/marketing, KPIs, accounting)
About You-
7–10+ years of progressive finance/accounting experience

Prior startup or ground-up build experience — comfortable in unstructured environments

Hands-on operator: willing to roll up sleeves
- Self-starter who can figure things out independently

Highly collaborative — will work closely with 2–4 stakeholders across themes

Strong systems implementation experience

US GAAP familiarity is an asset

Publicly traded / SEC reporting experience is an asset

E-commerce or Shopify exposure is an asset

Experience deploying AI-enabled finance tools is an asset
