The ideal candidate is passionate about contemporary graphic design and motion. The Associate UI Artist thrives in a collaborative team environment with a strong desire to learn and grow. This is a 12-month temporary full-time contract.

Responsibilities:

Implement the visual language of the UI through iconography, typography, visual hierarchy, and motion design under the guidance of the Lead UI Artist and Art Director.
Help to craft a UI design system that provides an immersive and coherent gaming experience to our players during interface navigation.
Create high-fidelity UI screens, character and weapon presentations using pre-vis tools and in-game files.
Create in-game branding, live service seasonal customization, and mode distinction through design elements.
Collaborate with the UX team, Engineers and UI Technical Designers

Requirements:

Thorough understanding of color theory, typography, layout, user flow, and motion design principles.
Motion design abilities (After Effects / Cinema 4D)
Solid experience of static asset creation tools such as Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign.
Good knowledge of UI/UX prototyping tools such as FIGMA, Adobe XD, Sketch or InVision.
Technical ability with a thorough understanding of Maya, Blender or similar 3D modeling software.
Passion for innovating in the user interface space and refining production techniques.
High degree of self-motivation and initiative.
Strong planning and prioritization skills.

Pay Transparency - North America

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

The ranges listed below are what EA in good faith expects to pay applicants for this role in these locations at the time of this posting. If you reside in a different location, a recruiter will advise on the applicable range and benefits. Pay offered will be determined based on a number of relevant business and candidate factors (e.g. education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, or business needs).

PAY RANGES

* British Columbia (depending on location e.g. Vancouver vs. Victoria) *$74,100 - $102,000 CAD

Pay is just one part of the overall compensation at EA.

In Canada, we offer a package of benefits including vacation (3 weeks per year to start), 10 days per year of sick time, and extended health/dental/vision coverage and basic life insurance.
