Full job description

Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and attentive Server to join our dynamic restaurant team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional guest service, ensure food safety and sanitation standards are maintained, and create a welcoming atmosphere for all patrons. This role involves taking orders, serving food and beverages, handling transactions, and upselling menu items to enhance guest experience. Previous experience in food service or hospitality is preferred, along with familiarity with POS systems such as Micros POS. Strong time management and customer service skills are essential to succeed in this fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, personalized service throughout their dining experience
Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems like Micros POS
Serve food and drinks promptly while ensuring presentation quality
Handle cash and credit card transactions accurately, including cashiering duties and cash handling
Upsell menu items to increase sales and enhance guest satisfaction
Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in accordance with food safety regulations
Assist in food preparation or kitchen tasks as needed to support team operations
Manage multiple tables efficiently through effective time management skills
Address guest inquiries or concerns promptly to ensure a positive dining experience
Follow all sanitation, safety, and health guidelines related to food handling and service

Requirements

Previous experience in food service, restaurant, or hospitality industry preferred
Familiarity with POS systems such as Micros POS is a plus
Strong customer service skills with a friendly, professional demeanor
Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and responsibly
Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures
Excellent time management skills to manage multiple tables efficiently during busy hours
Basic math skills for billing, making change, and upselling items
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed; availability for shifts that may include serving during peak hours
