( PartTime) We are seeking a friendly and attentive Server to join our new opening asian-style restaurant team. The ideal candidate will deliver exceptional guest service, ensure food safety and sanitation standards, and create a welcoming atmosphere for all patrons. This role offers an opportunity to develop skills in food service, hospitality, and customer relations within a fast-paced environment. Previous restaurant experience is preferred but not required; a positive attitude and strong work ethic are essential. The Server will be responsible for taking orders, serving food and beverages, handling transactions, and maintaining cleanliness throughout the dining area.

Duties

Greet guests warmly and provide attentive service throughout their dining experience
Take accurate orders using POS systems
Serve food and beverages efficiently while ensuring presentation quality
Handle cash transactions accurately, including cashiering and cash handling responsibilities
Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales
Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in accordance with food safety regulations
Assist in food preparation or kitchen tasks as needed to support team operations
Ensure guest satisfaction by addressing concerns promptly and professionally
Manage time effectively during busy periods to serve multiple tables efficiently
Follow proper food handling procedures to ensure safety and quality
Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of our washroom

Skills

Experience with POS systems
Strong customer service skills with a focus on guest satisfaction
Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and proper food handling practices
Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment with excellent time management skills
Basic math skills for cashiering and billing purposes
Previous restaurant or food industry experience preferred, including serving and food preparation roles
Familiarity with hospitality principles and guest services standards
Ability to upsell menu items confidently to enhance guest experience
Excellent communication skills and a friendly demeanor
Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining professionalism

Pay: From $16.35 per hour
