We are currently seeking an EMDR-trained trauma therapist who is passionate about deepening their trauma work, growing clinically, and being part of a supportive and collaborative environment.

Role Description

This is a part-time independent contractor position with the opportunity to grow into a full-time caseload. The role is hybrid, based in Barrie, with flexibility for remote work.

The therapist will:

Conduct comprehensive client assessments
Develop individualized treatment plans
Provide trauma-informed psychotherapy and counselling
Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
Collaborate within a supportive clinical team environment

Qualifications

Master’s degree in Social Work or Psychology
Full registration in good standing with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers or the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario
Minimum 3 years of experience in the mental health field
Experience and understanding of trauma, PTSD, and complex PTSD
EMDRIA-approved EMDR Basic Training completed (or in progress / willing to complete)
Ability to work independently while also valuing collaboration and consultation
Excellent clinical, written, and interpersonal communication skills
Willingness to work a minimum of 3 shifts per week, including weekends

Assets

Experience working with diverse and marginalized populations
Experience supporting first responders
Interest in continued EMDR training, consultation, and certification
